More info: The New York Television Festival (NYTVF) will welcome TV lovers and industry insiders to Manhattan for a week of screenings and panels headlined by industry leaders and an international slate of talented writers, producers and actors including French Stewart (“3rd Rock from the Sun”), Thomas Lennon (“Reno 911”) and Mary Lynn Rajskub (“24”). The week’s events include red carpet premieres of ABC’s “Detroit 1-8-7”; FOX’s “Running Wilde” and IFC’s “The Increasingly Poor Decision of Todd Margaret;” as well as special screenings of NBC Universal’s “Short Cuts,” BBC America’s premiere of the miniseries “Luther,” and free screenings of 42 original TV pilots submitted from pilot-makers around the world. The Festival’s free and open to the public daytime panel series will bring keynote speakers and guests including Ben Silverman, Mitch Hurwitz, Michael Emerson, Harry Shearer and more.
